I'm setting this up in the memory of my amazing grandad. He was an amazing musican, dancer and a very hard worker who put his family first. He had a fantastic sense of humour and spoke to everyone. He was the kindest man I knew and doubt he'd ever had an enemy. In his last years he travelled a great deal, making the most of every moment but all his family knew even though he was always on the move, he had a special place in his heart. He was loved by all. He touched so many peoples lives and will never be forgotten. He's left behind a girlfriend, two sons, one daughter, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Another reason I am raising money for this charity is because of all the support I have received when Doctor's told me my daughter had an abnormality in her left lung. Thankfully (after six weeks of worrying and ringing the BLF helpline daily) Doctor's told me the tests had been done wrong and further tests shown she was in perfect health. However the support from BLF was so helpful and helped keep me level-headed. They also helped me so much when my son stopped breathing six times in a two month period and once again the support was amazing. Grandad John is missed so much already and I hope that you can donate money to help the British Lung Foundation find the cure for lung cancer and help provide support to those who need it.
